Remember that sometimes harmless fishing or a romantic walk can take your life! Before stepping on the ice, at least make sure that it is at least 10 cm thick. Ice of this thickness is considered safe. But even if you are pedantic, took a tape measure with you, and the ice turns out to be, for example, 11 cm thick, this is not a guarantee of safety: you need to walk on it carefully!
